FA Charter Standard Award

Last night the Club recieved the West Riding County FA Charter Community Club of the Year Award at County HQ in Leeds. Club Secretary Richard Hewitt, Chairman Colin Storton and Fund Raising Secretary Marie Rowley picked up the award from County President Mr Peter Marsden.

In addition we were delighted to hear the Club have also won the Regional Charter Community Award and will be put forward for the National Award next year

THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT

This week has been a fantastic week for Oakworth Juniors.  During the week a meeting was held in London with the Football Foundation and the FA.  The outcome of this meeting was that Oakworth Juniors have been given the go ahead with the new pavilion and the works to the field. We are hoping that this work will start within the next couple of months once all the paper work has been signed.  We are soooooo pleased with the outcome of this meeting and would like to thank you all for all your hard work fund raising.  (Watch this space for further news)

U/10's win Keighley Shamrocks 5 a side

Last Saturday, - 11th July, the U/10 A Team won the Keighley Shamrocks 5 A Side Tournament beating Campion 1-0 in the Final.

Group Games, results:

Skipton LMS 2-0 (Harry Williams, George Beck. Keighley Shamrocks 4-0 (Aiden Smith 2, Matthew Hardy, Adam Zafar). Campion 0-1. Silsden A 1-0 (George Beck).

Semi Final Silsden B 1-0 (Harry Williams)

Final Campion 1-0 (Aiden Smith)

Charter Award

The Club is proud to announce that we have been awarded the West Riding County FA's Charter Community Club of the Year, and will recieve the award at a ceremony in the near future.

The County FA have recognised the hard work the Club has carried out over the past year in trying to provide new facilities for our members. We have also updated our Welfare and Child Protection Policies, introduced Respect Barriers, and adopted the Dont X The Line and Show Respect campaigns.
