Bronte Playing Fields is one of five such areas to be granted protected status under a project to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympics. The Queen Elizabeth 11 Fields designation means they will be protected as a permanent legacy of the two events which take place this summer. Bradford Council put forward Bronte along with the others, for the honour.
National charity, - Fields In Trust has now confirmed all five playing fields will be protected and are to display a plaque bearing the Queens name in time for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in June. The Queen Elizabeth 11 Fields Challenge aims to protect 2012 outdoor recreational spaces in communities across the country. Those awarded the special status will be able to apply for a share of £1 million of funding.

Could we just bring a few points to everyone's attention when attending matches at Oakworth Juniors.
1. Car Parking. There is ample parking for everyone provided cars are parked sensibily. Please park on the "green" areas, (not the grass). The grey gravel areas provide the road access to the building which must be left clear. Under no circumstances should cars be parked on the pitches.
2. Only players are allowed to use the outside access door leading to the changing areas. This is a Welfare issue and must be observed. Only managers and coaches with full CRB clearance are allowed to use this entrance with the players.
3. No one wearing football boots is allowed in to the Club Room. There are ample changing and showering facilities for all players and officials after matches. All players should bring a change of clothing for after the match.
Thanks for attention.
